How Is Everybody Related?

Lisa, boynot's daughter, embarked on family tree project for school quite a few years ago; turns out, Allan Evenas, built one of his own. Both trees had holes - termites?)

So we tried to glue them together. There a .pdf file that can be enlarged vertically and horizontally, and hopefully, you can see what we've got - so far. Clearly, it is likely that more holes exist ... and YOU might actually have more facts to help complete the picture.

Send your knowledge, and we'll update our heritage tree. Thanks!

The text of what we put together:

Hi Allan,

OK here is how we are related. Bernie helped me with the details. I'm sure you know most of this already...if I got something wrong or left someone out forgive me...

Fette (Abe) had many siblings...

Fette had a brother named Benyamin - his daughter is Bolcha who married Barish (who died many years ago)and they had 1 son-Bernie... Bernie is married to Shelly and has 4 kids and 1 very cute granddaughter.

Fette had another brother -Sheeah who had 4 children Chana(who died in war), Rechelle (who died in 1970's in NY), Sruel (my grandpa who died last year), and Morris(who died in 1987).

Chana was oldest and died in the war. She had a son -our parents age now
around 80 years old-Stanley Levine. He is married to Shirley. They have
2 children Gaylanne married to Ira (who has 4 kids and 2 grandchildren)
and Marty married to Sheryl (who has 3 kids)

Tonta Rechelle (my favorite great aunt when I was very very young)was
married to Gimpel and they had a son Sheeah aka Sheldon from Bolivia who
lives in Atlanta, GA. Tonta Rechelle died in the '70s of cancer...

Sruel had 3 children from 2 marriages...He was married to Tovah his
first wife and had my mom Rayzel. Then she died in war and he married
her sister Chajku and had 2 more children. My uncle Shaya (not Sheeah
but Shaya after my mom's grandpa...)aka Big Sheldon and my aunt Rene'e.
Sheldon and Renee are much younger than my mom. Sruel died at age 96
over a year ago .

Rayzel and Abey have 4 children (us, the Zysbergs Judy, Jeff Toby and Barbara), 9 grandchildren and 1 very cute great granddaughter.

Sheldon has 1son Evan who recently got married . Rene'e is married to Sandi for about 20 years now.

Uncle Morris was married to Aunt Bessie and had 2 children-Regina who
has 2 children and 3 grandchildren and Sheldon aka Little Sheldon.....
Morris died in 1987 from cancer and then unfortunately several years
later his son Sheldon died. (about 13 years ago). A very big loss for
all of us.. He was the funniest, most charming, hippest person I will
ever know. We were lucky to have him in our life and I miss him and
think of him every day. Bessie is still alive and well and living in
Fla.

We all try to see eachother on holidays and all special occasions.

Toby, Barbara and I live about 1 mile from eachother in the same town. We see eachother all the time. Our families are very close and some of our kids go to same or nearby universities and visit eachother... Jeffrey lives in LI near his wife's 3 sisters and their young families...

Toby is a math teacher and Steve is an eye doctor 3 children Stacie-Executive at Toys R Us, Debbie- math teacher and Eddie -a junior at Cornell.

Barbara is between jobs now spending lots of time with her granddaughter Ava and

Alan is Director of Social Work- AIDS Division at Beth Israel Hospital. 3 children Russell-history teacher married to Jessica-science teacher , Stephanie- works for a graphic design company, Amanda- junior @ Cortland.

Jeffrey is a mortgage broker-has his own business and his wife Janet is a teacher/ teacher liaison in NYC public schools. Their son Zachary is 10 years old and so cute.

Jeff coaches his basketball team and we all went to visit and see both of them in action last month. So much fun...

I work at Marsh and my specialty is assisting extremely wealthy families with their personal insurance needs. (I love it...) My husband Eric works at Fortunoff. Your LI gal will recognize the store/a NY icon. 2 children- Maxi - production assistant @ World Wresting Entertainment and Robbie-a senior @ Cortland.
Rene'e lives in LI and is a buyer at a belt/ pocketbook company affiliated with Steve Madden. She is working there for many years here in NYC, Sandi is a comptroller for a limousine company in LI.

Bernie is a brilliant computer expert and professor/ teaching computer classes and Shelly works with special needs children. They live in NJ near my parents and Chajku. Their 4 children are great too and their granddaughter is really beautiful.

Well this is it in a nutshell...There is so much more to tell you but this is a good start...

My parents moved from Brooklyn to Englishtown,NJ to be near their friend about 6 years ago and Chajku lives in the next building to theirs. They are doing very well and we visit with them all the time.

Barbara said that you will have to come to NY to see the film of Cimmaron City..She is not letting that one out of her sight. Will you all be hear for the reunion? Eliane said she will be here in June? Who exactly is coming then?

Please tell Garry that when my parents moved, I found 2 letters he wrote to me in 1973.... They are great too..

Hope you enjoy the attached pictures...

Off to Boston-client visit for afew days... Speak to you soon... Please

keep it coming...We love it.

Take care,
Judy

Cousins, cousins, cousins

Somehow, the Lederman clan and all it's derivatives lost contact with different branches of the family. Sad, but true. But somehow Judy Zysberg Goldstein and Eliane Lederman found each other, and rekindled relationships ... like Balcha always says to me, family is family!

Anyway, we've gathered up a big bunch of pictures here ... feel free to think about 'em, and if you have some too to offer up, I'd be happy to post them here.
Also, if any of the pictures bring up a memory that you'd like to share, just add a 'comment' by clicking on comments at the bottom. Then we all will be able to 'hear' you.

Thanks! :) cousin boynot
